Friday Poem: Emergency Call

Full searchable text after the jump:

EMERGENCY CALL

“The elevator’s frozen, and I’m stuck between the floors!

Please send somebody over now to open up the doors.

I’ve got some calls I need to make,

There’s meetings that I have to take,

I need to sign a dozen forms

And check that they conform to norms,

And then I’ve got some hours ahead of work administration!

But now I’m stuck here all alone

Without computer, fax or phone…

Where none can page, and none can call…

I simply can’t be reached at all…

…On second thought, please take your time!

It’s like a paid vacation.”
