Friday Poem: The Giant Invisible Goblins of Mist

Searchable text after the jump.

THE GIANT INVISIBLE GOBLINS OF MIST

The Giant Invisible Goblins of Mist

Siege cities both groovy and lame‑‑

They loom over buildings and shake a mad fist

At the unwitting pawns in their game!

They hurl scraps of paper (they’re not all that strong)

And roar an extreme but unhearable song

And then they move on before not very long

And nobody knows that they came.

The Giant Invisible Goblins of Mist

Are monsters that no one can tame!

Thank goodness these juggernauts barely exist‑‑‑

Just think of the damage we’d claim!

Look out! They’ll be coming to your city square…

(And yes, you may scoff and pretend not to care,

But isn’t it scary just knowing they’re there?)

…And leave things exactly the same.
